KULA VIZURI LEO KWA AJILI YA BAADAE

Natumai wote hamjambo kwa siku ya leo. Nimekua kimya tena na kama kawaida yetu lazima kuna sababu! "Naandika research yangu", "kazi zimekua nyingi" n.k. Ni kweli kwamba muda unakua mdogo kwa sababu ya mambo mengi ninayofanya lakini kama nikitaka kutafuta muda wa kufanya kitu nitaupata. Na leo nimeamua kupata muda na kuandika kitu kifupi tu.

Leo nataka kuzungumzia kuhusu kujiandaa sasa hivi kwa ajili ya uzee. Watu wengi huwa tunajiandaa kipesa kwa ajili ya maisha ya baadae. Lakini wachache sana tunakua tunajiandaa kiafya kwa ajili ya maisha ya uzeeni. Tunajua wote kwamba magonjwa mengi yanakua kwa wazee, blood pressure, kisukari, mzunguko mbaya wa damu n.k. Kitu ambacho huwa tunasahau wote ni kwamba hayo magonjwa tumekua "tunayaandaa" tangu tuko vijana kwa chakula tunachokula na lifestyle tunayofuata. Chakula tunachokula kama sio kizuri kwa miili yetu kinakua kinasababisha hali ya ugonjwa ambayo itakuja kujitokeza huko mbeleni.

Kwa hiyo basi, tuangalieni vyakula tunavyokula, tuchemshe badala ya kukaanga. Tutumie mafuta mazuri (olive oil, canola oil n.k). Tule samaki kwa wingi na kupunguza 'red meat". Na pia tusisahau kufanya mazoezi. hayo ni baadhi tu ya mambo machache tunayoweza kufanya kusudi tuwe na afya nzuri.

Muda

Ni muda mrefu sasa tangu nimetuma post katika hii blog. Sijivunii na kitendo hiki. Kama watu wote tusemavyo "muda sina kabisa siku hizi", mara tunasema "nitaanza kesho", "nitakapomaliza project hii nitaanza", n.k n.k. Muda hatuupati kama hatujitahidi. Kila siku tunakua tuna kitu tunafanya, na itakua hivyo hivyo mpaka mwisho wa maisha yetu. Leo nilikua naongea na mama mmoja ambaye anataka kupunguza uzito. Kaenda kumuona dietician (kalipa hela nyingi tu) lakini hakuchukua karatasi aliyopewa kwa ajili ya kuanza program. Nilivyokua naongea nae sikuona kama ana nia ya kupunguza uzito, niliona anataka kufanya hivyo kwa sababu anajua inabidi afanye hivyo lakini hajui kama ataweza kufanya hii programm.

Sasa basi, watu wengi ambao wanataka kupunguza uzito wanakua na nia ya kupunguza uzito lakini hawana "nguvu" au imani kwamba uzito utapungua. Hii ni kwa sababu wamejaribu "njia nyingi" ikiwa ni pamoja na kujishindisha njaa ili kupunguza uzito. Kwa hiyo wanaamua kusema kwamba hawataweza. Mpaka kuwa na "turning point", labda ugonjwa au kitu kingine. Lakini utakuta mpaka muda huo ufike inakua ni vigumu zaidi kufuata afya nzuri.

Nakumbuka mume wangu kabla hajaanza program alitaka kununua saizi kubwa ya nguo sababu alizokua nazo zilikua zimeanza kumbana. Alishindwa kumbeba binti yetu vizuri sababu tumbo lilikua linamsubua na siku hiyo ndio tukaamua kwamba anaanza program!, hiyo ndio ilikua "turning point" yake. Manake tukaona sasa tutanunua nguo kubwa mpaka lini? Wiki iliyofuata akaanza kufuata "helathy lifestyle" rasmi. Na baada ya miezi minne alikua ameshafikia kwenye uzito unaofaa, na ni mwaka sasa yuko katika uzito huo huo.

Kwa hiyo ndugu zanguni tutafute "turning point" yetu wakati bado tunaweza kusudi tuweze kuanza kuangalia uzito wetu. "Turning point" yetu inabidi tuipate wakati bado tunaweza, sio kwa sababu tunaumwa sababu wakati huo unaweza kushindwa kufuata hii "lifestyle" kwa sababu ya ugonjwa.

"Turning point" zetu ziko nyingi kama tukizitafuta. Miguu kuuma, uzito wa mwili kwa ujumla, mama ana blood pressure kubwa, baba wa jirani kafariki ghafla kwa stroke, n.k, n.k. Hizi zote ni hali ambazo ukifuata "lifestyle" nzuri ya kula utaepuka matatizo haya.

Tuanze kuangalia afya zetu wakati bado tunaweza, huko mbele inakua vigumu zaidi na inakua "expensive" zaid sababu inaunganisha matibabu na kila kitu.

Uzito mzuri kwa afya nzuri

Kwa mama wa kiafrika mwenye mtoto wa watoto, unene ni kitu ambacho kinakubalika na kinachukuliwa kama ni maisha mazuri. Kila wakati utasikia mtu anasema "nimemuona fulani kanenepa kapendeza!" Unene umekua ukihusishwa na "mafanikio" ya maisha. Lakini siku hizi watu wengi wameona kwamba unene "sio dili" tena, ni mzuri kama bado uko kijana, active na nguvu zako. Japo unakua unaipa miguu uzito mkubwa wa kubeba mwili mnene, unakua hausikii sana sababu bado una nguvu zako. Sasa basi ikifika wakati miguu inachoka kubeba mwili mkubwa, moyo unakua umezungukwa na mafuta, mishipa inakua ina mafuta na mzunguko wa damu unakua wa shida, ndio hapo unaona tunaanza kuwatatata "maspecialist" kwa ajili ya magonjwa mbalimbali, hypertension, high cholestrol, kisukari, magonjwa ya moyo to name few.
Sasa ndugu zangu, ni wakati ambao inabidi tuangalie miili yetu kwa ajili ya watoto wetu, waume zetu na hasa hasa kwa ajili yetu wenyewe. Wakati ule wa kusema "unene dili" umepita na tujiangalie miili yetu, weather tuna watoto au hatuna, uzito wetu tunaweza kuungalia na kuuweka katika "uzito mzuri", kama blog hii inavyosema.

Why do some weight loss programs succeed?

While there is no “one size fits all” solution to lifelong, healthy weight loss, try these tips:

  • Lifestyle change – Permanent weight loss is not something that a “quick-fix” diet can achieve. Instead, think about weight loss as a permanent lifestyle change. You are making a commitment to your health for life. Various popular diets can help to jump-start your weight loss, but permanent changes in your lifestyle and food choices are what will work long term.
  • Find a cheering section – Social support means a lot. Our planned program to come will use group support to impact weight loss and lifelong healthy eating. Seek out support, whether in the form of family, friends, or a support group, so that you can get the encouragement you need.
  • Commit to a plan and stick to it – Experiment until you find a good, long-term plan that helps you lose the weight and maintain that loss in a way that works for you. If you cut out just 100 calories a day you could lose 10 pounds in a year. Remember, one 330ml can of soda can contain 150 calories.
  • Lose weight slowly. Losing weight too fast can take a toll on your nervous system, making you feel sluggish, drained, and sick. When you drop a lot of weight quickly, you’re actually losing mostly water and muscle rather than fat. Aim to lose 0.5 to 1.5 kg a week to ensure healthy weight loss.
  • Stay motivated and keep track – Short-term goals, like wanting to fit into a wedding gown, usually don’t work as well as goals like wanting to feel more confident or become healthier for your children’s sakes. Keep a food journal or weigh yourself regularly. Find and use tools that help keep you motivated. Stay focused: when frustration and temptation strike, concentrate on the many benefits you will reap from being healthier and leaner.

How do we take care of our health

Most of us forget that in order to have good health in our old age, we need to take care of our health NOW! We dont watch what we are eating as long as we are not sick. I have a news for you friends, the bad eating habit we are doing now will eventually show later. Women especially think that once you have a baby its ok to be fat, its actually a "prestige" to get fat after getting married! But its not about the baby (entirely) it is what and how we eat. "You are what you eat"
So lets take care of our body now, so that it will take care of us when we need it most.
